Concrete is not judged by its appearance

Concrete can look perfect and fail to reach strength. We go through the testing plan we apply to every pour.

Concrete is the material most often trusted on appearance. A clean finish says nothing about the strength reached at 28 days.

Testing plan per pour

On every delivery we take test specimens and record:

  • Pour number and plant of origin
  • Departure time and time of placing
  • Temperature and consistency on arrival
  • Strength at 7 and 28 days

If the 7-day strength deviates more than 15% from forecast, a review is triggered before waiting for the 28-day result.

Curing control

Curing is the part most neglected on site. Well-proportioned concrete loses strength if it dries too quickly. We record the curing method and its duration.

What we do with a low result

We do not cover it up or carry on. We assess the structural safety of the affected area, decide on strengthening or partial demolition, and document the decision. Traceability protects the client and it protects us.
